Canford Magna Golf Club Professional Darren Stratman is currently head of junior recruitment for the club.
For the past 4 years Darren has gone out to a number of schools in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch areas and is responsible for introducing hundreds of children to the game of golf.
‘Tri-Golf’ is an especially adapted form of golf to suit the needs of schools where there are often only enclosed spaces available to play in. Clubs are made of plastic for safety and are oversized to make the game a little easier for the children. Golf balls are also larger and constructed from a soft material so they do not cause damage to property.
‘Tri-Golf’ really is a fun way to learn the game and Darren plans and delivers the lesson in such a way that many of the youngsters are keen to take up the sport more seriously.
