Junior Order of Merit 2008

Between 1st January and 1st December 2008 there are 21 Medal or Stableford competitions for Juniors.
There is also the Presidents Plate on 3rd May, the Club Championships on the 21st August (2x18 holes) and the Junior Captains’ Day on 24th August.
This gives a total of 25 rounds over the next year in which to score points. The order of merit will be judged on your best 15 rounds which will have to include the aforementioned major tournaments.

Points will be awarded as follows:

1st 15   6th 5
2nd 13   7th 4
3rd 11   8th 3
4th 9   9th 2
5th 7

  • All participants in the competition who complete the round will receive 1 point.
  • Any participant who N/R’s or is DQ will receive no points.
  • Any participant who has entered their name on the booking sheet and does not play in the competition will be deducted 5 points if they have not cancelled by 10am on the morning of the competition at the latest.
  • Special circumstances apply to the major junior events where participants must have cancelled the day before the competition to avoid being deducted 5 points.
  • Anyone who does not hand in their card will be deducted 5 points AND receive a two competition ban.
  • If a competition is cancelled due to inclement weather or the course is deemed unplayable then all entrants will receive 7 points.
  • If bad light stops play and the competition is decided on 9 holes so will the order of merit

There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 competitors at the end of the year so good luck and have fun!
