CM Juniors

Here at Canford we are very proud of our full junior section. For many years now it has been one of the largest of its kind in Dorset, and has many fine young players pass through it. Both Hayley Davis and Georgia Hall started their golf with us before progressing on to playing for the England Ladies team. Both girls are now expected to make the Curtis Cup team this year to take on the USA.

One reason that Canford is the choice for so many youngsters is the schedule of events that we arrange here at the club. There are 30 Junior events each year available for members to enter. Most adults are also open to the youth at the club, so a junior member could potentially play over 100 competition rounds per year!
As well as individual competitions, we arrange matches to compete in both the Dorset League and Scratch Knockout competitions.

Three years ago, we became only the second club in Dorset to be awarded the prestigious Golf Mark Award. This is only available to clubs who demonstrate excellence when it comes to looking after the juniors at the club, from coaching to providing a safe environment.
